Paid Internships for Bronx Teens

Hello Green Teens!
It was great to see you at Parks Advocacy Day! I am on staff at New Yorkers for Parks and I am also a consultant on a project called CITI Youth. The CITI Youth program is looking to fill several paid internship positions in the Bronx and Upper Manhattan.
CITI (The Community Information Technology Initiative) is an interactive website www.myciti.org and training program that empowers high school students and community organizations to create an analyze maps of the neighborhood.
Interns are trained to become Map Technicians who provide a map making service for their local community board. Map Technicians get a first hand look at how local land use decisions are made, and the community boards get a much needed upgrade in technology.
This fall, the CITI Youth Program will expand into 20 neighborhoods throughout the five boroughs. That means, we have openings for Map Technicians - a paid internship position ($10/hr) for students who live in:
Bronx Community Board 3 - Morrisania
Bronx Community Board 1 - Mott Haven
Bronx Community Board 5 - Morris Hts
Manhattan Community Board 10 - Central Harlem
Manhattan Community Board 9 - Morningside Hts, Manhattanville
Manhattan Community Board 11 - East Harlem
Queens Community Board 3 - E. Elmhurst, Jackson Hts
Queens Community Board 7 - Flushing
Queens Community Board 11 - Bayside
It would be great to do a training for all Green Teen members and have an opportunity to give you more information on the application process etc. Please feel free to call or email to set up a time!
Best Regards,

Welcome to Walton Green Teen's Blog
This is the official blog/website of Walton High School's Green Teen. The Green Teen is one of the most popular programs at Walton High School, with a waiting list of more than 40 kids. In 2005 Green Teen students grew more than 1,500 pounds of vegetables from seeds, to donate to the homeless in the Bronx.
